Hi Bev,

Sorry for the confusion.

I've attached a screen shot (Bev will get this, but the Technet server will strip them off) showing the EDIT button you need to click in Step 7 prior to editing your pin details in Step 8.

Very frustrating. Where on the page for Step #7 do I find "Edit"?

Hi Graham,

I guess that was an unforeseen consequence- Even though the map is made "public", which means anyone can search for it by name and see it, to ADD to it, you need to have a Google maps account (this is included in a generic Google login, such as Gmail, if you simply login and then click on the maps tab).

You can VIEW the map by following the link... http://tinyurl.com/c5kgygh

If you want to ADD to it:
1) Sign in to Google on your browser window
2) Bring up the map by following the link
3) Click "Save to My Places". That adds the Technet map to your account so you can see it when you login to Google [you can still also view it (only view it) when not logged into Google by following the link above]
4) Go to your Google Maps page, then click "My Places"
5) Type the address you want to add in the Google Maps search bar
6) Once found, click "Save to Map", and then you will prompted to choose which map, the drop-down box will show "IPC Technet Map", then click "Save".
This adds the pin to the map
7) To edit the pin details, go to the map, then click "Edit"
8) Once in "edit" mode, go find your pin in the list and click on it. From the pop-up window you can change the icon and text shown. CAREFUL - in edit mode you can edit or delete anyone's pin.
9) Once done, click "Save" and then "Done"

Certainly not mandatory, I just thought it would be neat to see.
