Hi Victor,

I am not sure that there is such a thing or that I understand the question correctly. Most of the fabricators I do business with have no trouble achieving a 10:1 aspect ratio on production quantities. However, real-estate permitting, you should try to do about half that. The ratio applies across any thickness range so if the fabricator claims 10:1 aspect ratio and your board is .200 thick you can get by with a .018 diameter finished hole (allowing for a .020 drill) of course the same aspect ratio for a .100 thick board would permit a .010 finished hole.

Rick

Fellow TechNetters:

Can someone share with me a chart of common PWB thickness and drill hole sizes resulting in a calculated Aspect Ration value.

Victor,
