With RoHS2 approaching rapidly and the elimination of exemptions to Category 8 and 9 products I am in the process of reviewing and potentially revamping our PCB Fabrication Specification.
A few questions:
1. Is a reference to Marking Specification J-STD-609A required, or will a simple note requiring the product be clearly identified as RoHS compliant acceptable? Preference?
2. Do you call out specific laminate materials (eg IPC-4101C/126) or is a note referenceing IPC-4101C RoHS compliant material sufficient?
3. Is it necessary to mention "NON-DICY" in the note text, or is that implied by the RoHS requirement mentioned elsewhere within the Fabrication Specification?
Any other thoughts / opnions ?
Thanks,
Dave
