Dear all,

I have been using LPI Soldermask (spray coated) for fabricating class 3 products. The problem is i am unable to achieve the minimum requirement of 0.7mil thickness. The solder mask thickness on the Epoxy is around 17microns, on the centre of the tracks is about 8 microns and on the knee of the tracks it is 4 microns.

As per IPC-SM-840 , a minimum of 0.7 mil(17 microns) thickness is required. Is it possible to achieve 0.7mil on the knee of the tracks using spray coated system.

regards,

R.Saravanan
