Graham,
You might look at GC Preview from Graphicode.  Not sure it will do what 
you want without buying the pro version, but I use it to examine Gerber 
data and the viewer is free.

Hello
I've got a customer who likes to send me ODB++ format data files for 
their products.  Since I need gerber, this is not optimal.

Is there any low/no cost software solution that will let me export 
gerber from an ODB++ file?  I can view it using Viewmate, but I can not 
export from that without buying the pro version software.
