That's funny, of all the coatings parylene is the easiest one to produce a
fine edge. The edge of the coating is as straight as the tape is layed down.

My bane was must coat and must not coat with no transition area.
This was for automated dispensing.
Even with masking to give a sharp edge, there is a tolerance on the
location.
Something should be noted as to need for a tolerance or a don't care area
between the 2, even if it is up to the individual design to specify it.
A paralyene contractor told me he could hold 4 mils. That is not zero and I
hate to think of the price to hold that tolerance.
For the 100 panel/ an hour shops, it has to be larger.
