Hi folks - Here is the Friday Element Quiz Answer:

The Question:
This element has no biological role in humans. This element used to be one

of the first element we encountered as a baby. This element was known to
the Chaldeans. What element is being described?

The Answer:

The element is Silver (Ag)! Silver has been known to humans for several
thousand years. The Chaldeans are credited with inventing the process of
refining silver (cupellation)around 2500 BC. Silver nitrate solution eye
drops were often put into newborn babies eyes to prevent blindness (first
demonstrated by German obstetrician Dr. F. Crede in 1884).

The winner of the weekly element quiz is Dick Krug, Spartan Complex
Systems and he will get the services of Clumpy and
Kloumpios for the week. The boys hopped on their tractors and were zooming
off to Florida - they seemed very happy to get away from the snow and cold
here in Iowa.

Also, on this second round of the Friday Element Quiz, there is the
possibility that we may cover an element more than just once - the FEQAB
imposed this rule to keep Doug a bit off balance.

So far Clumpy and Kloumpios have done the following:
