Per the previous comments if you don't know what it is no one can tell you
it's OK.
If there is low electrical conductivity, it depend on your product
requirements, again don't know what is is.
An assembly with a gig-ohm resistor may care a great deal about this.
Also the material tends to be sticky over its life and in an unsealed unit
will turn into a fuzzball over time.
