Likewise, IPC-9201A (2007), the Surface Insulation Handbook references Method 2.6.3.7, but not 2.6.3.5.

Revision C (2010) of IPC-6012 has IPC-TM-650, Method 2.6.3.7 as an applicable document, but not Method 2.6.3.5. Also I could find no reference to a supersedure notice. I could not find Method 2.6.3.5 listed anywhere I would have expected it to be.

To the best of my knowledge that was called up by IPC 6012. I don't know whether this is under review - but it should be (2007 = 5 year rule). I will take this matter up with the group at APEX.
I suggest you apply some caution to the veracity of any data you produce, as the method really needs to be updated. The old Bellcore GR-78-CORE was superceded by method 2.6.3.7
