Hello Technetters,
We are wondering if it is a good or evil practice to tin the wires that
will be inserted in terminal blocks such as ETB74.
On numerous occasions, I've seen these connections loosen and/or the
stranded wires damaged by applying torque to the connection. In a
previous live, I've seen tined wires that seem to work fine but never
had the chance to see long term effect of tinning.
So the question: to tin or not to tin? Should ferrules always be used?
Is it better to use solid wires as opposed to stranded wires?
Thank you!
JF
