So let it be written, so let it be done. Oh wait, different ruler, which
raises the question of which is greater, Pharoah or Emporer?
We have evaluated materials like this before. In one case it was a
silicone mat material, which was very good from a chemical durability
standpoint (a strongpoint of silicones) but it also made it an insulator,
so had poor ESD protection. In a second case, we evaluated a black
material that was advertised as static dissipative. After a few passes,
we found that you could rub it across a bench surface and see black skid
marks. If it was carbon impregnated, the matrix was breaking down. I
don't think it contaminated the sump, but not something we wanted to
chance.
Dave Adams, our cleaning equipment guru has found a material we like.
Rich, take a look at Stone Mountain Tools SPYDER Mat.. Dave says it has
gone through the wash a few hundred times, has good ESD characteristics,
and appears to be durable.

I believe that Stone Mountain Tool will machine it to what you want.
Good luck.

Absolutely correct. The Emperor has decreed thou shall not defile the
sump.

I would strongly caution against something like this. You specifically
want something formulated to withstand the chemicals of water wash. This
also means that there is nothing that the mats contribute to the cleaning
sump. Think about how easy it is to contaminate a wash sump. Suddenly,
everything is contaminated.

You could try something like an open ESD floor mat, cut down to size. I'm
not sure how long the natural rubber would hold up to your wash process or
how much spray jet shadowing is tolerable.
