Subject: [TN] NTC Friday Element Quiz - The Question

Hi folks - Here is the Friday Element Quiz Question:

The Question:

This element plays no role in living organisms and is not normally found
outside nuclear facilities. Three different research groups in the 1930s
claimed to have discovered this element but were mistaken. This element
was discovered in 1940 but that discovery was keep secret due to WW2. This
element does occur naturally on the Earth in very very very minute
quantities. What element is being described?

The winner of the weekly element quiz will get the services of Clumpy and
Kloumpios for the week.

As a side note, there were a number of "disparaging" comments about the
Friday Element Quiz Arbitration Board (FEQAB). The FEQAB is comprised of 7
members who are hard working, dedicated, honest employees of the S.White
Corporation who are engaged in the rare earth element extraction industry.
They spend a lot of time underground ignoring the everyday world thus are
an excellent unbiased review group. TechNet is privileged to have them
assist with the issues requiring arbitration regarding the Friday Element
Quiz. And for the record, they do think Doug Pauls is a nice guy.

So far Clumpy and Kloumpios have done the following:
