Hi Phil

Is this going to be your preferred application method or are you just
evaluating it with the brush for initial trials?

Best Regards

Lee, Phil,

I typically use urethane coating, so I am used to something that thickens up
during application, so this is certainly different than what I am used to.

What I've tried so far is hand application using a brush, and I see the
dewetting happening on vertical lead areas, like the legs of gull-wings. And
it's happening almost right away, before I go to cure.

I'm using some dummy test boards, but they've been through an in-line
cleaner (Kyzen A4625) post soldering, and a hand clean with IPA just prior
to coating.

Ben

Hi Ben,

How are you applying the material and what components are you seeing this
on?

There are some application tricks to the trade to minimize this
phenomenon.... You can contact me offline if you'd like to discuss this
further.

Otherwise, I'd recommend you speak to both Matt Eveline at HumiSeal and Jon
Urquhart at PVA, both great resources to get you going in the right
direction.

Best Regards,

Phil
