Doug,
Look at Menda Conductive Brushes. The handle is dissipative poly (105-108), with conductive fibers. However, I suspect the fibers are poly also, and I do not know how well they would stand up to toluene.
They are part number 441-507 in the Stanley Supply catalog.

I did actually try that a few years back for a different reason.  What I found was that the adhesives on the back sides of those foils were easily attacked by toluene.  It was not long before the tape was covered with a sticky mess and wrapping the brush took a certain skill.  Our operators did not like the approach and as I recall, dire threats were made should I qualify this approach.

Then if this now becomes a plug in to and ESD system, it is now something that has to be monitored like our other ESD stuff in a formal program.  Much more work than I want to get into.  I wonder if I can con Hillman into taking this task.

I was not able to find any dissipative tubing, as nearly all shrink tubing is used to provide insulation.
However, I was wondering if you could use foil tape? You could wrap the tape over a wire, and put a banana jack on the end of the wire, the kind with the 1 meg resistor built in. Solder the wire to the metal part of the brush that clamps the bristle and route it down over the wood handle, and wrap with foil tape.
That way you can plug the brush into the ESD jack, and they would be effectively grounded.

Good afternoon all,

I wonder if any of you know of  a heat shrinkable sleeving that would be
in the static dissipative range for volume resistivity?  This would be
between 1E6 and 1E9 ohm-cm.  Most of the ones that I am aware of are 1E11
ohm-cm or higher.

I don't know of any, so I thought I would turn to my favorite forum.

The application is paint brush handles.  Since most brushes are painted
wood, they can generate static.  We thought having a shrinkable ESD cover,
vs. some of the liquid coatings, would be a possible solution.
