Well, I strongly suspect the real answer IS curium.  Lots of overlap with the Wikipedia listing, including isotope life:

Hi Leland - just a point of Rules of Order but the Friday Element Quiz 
rbitration Board (FEQAB) had previously ruled that Doug could not submit 
 second guess for the Quiz thus your second answer is not eligible for 
nclusion in this week's Quiz. Ya only get one guess!
