Fellow TechNetters:

   Are the pins in connector designated for Press Fit Pins gold plated for insertion into an ENIG raw board.   What is the acceptable process.   If both interfaces are gold plated with a thin layer of gold, the thin layer of gold would be wiped off during the insertion process.   Then you would have a nickel to nickel mating surface.   Does this sound correct.   The interface should form a tight air seal.
