Could I also get a copy of the Louis Hart paper?
Thanks,

Amol, If you want, have a look at a short technical paper I put in the August 2002 IPC Review, describing the experimentation done to set up an automated conformal coater. Summer of 2010 that authority Doug Pauls looked at it and did not recommend putting it in the trash, so it may have some worthwhile ideas. The website IPC archives for that publication do not go back to 2002. Let me know if you want to see it and I will dig up a copy. Louis Hart

Subject: [TN] Chemtronics Konform SR Conformal Coating

Dear Technetters,

I am being tasked to setup the above coating with the PVA automatic spray/dispense machine (fine spray head and the needle dispense head).
The coating comes in two forms, the Konform SR and Konform SR High viscosity, and some mixing is involved to arrive at the optimal viscosity. I plan to talk to PVA and get their expertise in setting up the machine and eventually setting up a DOE to determine the optimal viscosity specification limits. However I wanted to know if there are any techentters already spraying this coating thru automated conformal coating equipment. I was hoping to talk to someone who is willing to share his/her experience with this coating and hopefully obtain information on some "good" starting values

Thanks,

Amol
