You mean you have 150 micron pth? Not buried or blind? What is the lead thickness to go through the pth?

Subject: [TN] Microvias

IPC-6012C-2010 defines Microvias as "vias that are <=0.15mm in diameter and formed either through laser or mechanical drilling, wet/dry etching, photo imaging or conductive ink formation followed by a plating operation."

Table 3-3, which gives minimum plating for through holes, says it is not applicable for these vias.

Table 3-4, IS for Micrivias, but has a parenthetical restriction to "(Blind and Buried)".

Questions:
1. Is the 0.15mm as drilled, or after plating?
2. What if I have a via mechanically drilled as a through hole in a 6 layer board, and it meets the <=0.15mm criteria. Table 3-3 says it's inapplicable, and Table 3-4 also appears to be inapplicable because it is not blind or buried. What plating thickness applies?

The 2006 Amendment partially avoids the conundrum because the Through-Holes section of Table 3-2 does not contain the Microvia caveat.

Subject: Re: [TN] upright freezer recommendation

Friend of mine had same problem. He looked at the special electronics
freezers and had forty fits at the prices. So he looked around and bought
some secondhand food equipment. Same manufacturer, near identical
design/layout, same stainless construction, clearly suitable for a
controlled environment. Price was about 2/3 less.

Mike

Subject: [TN] upright freezer recommendation

We are looking at adding another freezer to our center's SMT and packaging
cleanroom labs. Any recommendations? An brands to stay away from? Thank you
for your advice.
