I prefer mine. I make it about 80% whole wheat, 20% rye flour.
Not like that pasty white, nutritionally void stuff we get in the stores
over here.
Have a loaf in the oven now. Makes the house smell great.
Makes fantastic grille cheese sandwiches!!
But I do cut off the crust when stuffing into water pipes. I forget who it
was that said it, but even the slightest amount of water in the pipe will
render it unsolderable. I have used the bread stopper trick myself. Just
take the aerators off the faucets for a while...
