And also thanks to Steve Gregory we have our own Technet Members Over
the Years page....it would have made recognizing some of those in
attendance a little easier if I had remembered to take a look at this
beforehand.

Subject: [TN] NTC Technet Contact at APEX

Hi Richard - yes, I was able to meet several Technet members as I
bounced from meeting to meeting but unfortunately we didn't cross paths.
Next time for sure. Doug and I did make a request that at next year's
APEX, if possible, could there be a "Technet reception" for an hour
after the show so that Technet members could more readily get to meet
and chat about the world of electronics. Hoping that the IPC will act on
that suggestion. As many folks have detailed, much better show this
year.

Dave

Re: [TN] NTC Friday Element Quiz - the Question

I attached many new faces to friends through the use of the yellow
Technet
ribbons, and I got to talk with your buddy Mr. Pauls a little bit in a
standards meeting, but was disappointed to not get a chance to meet you,

Dave. I think we were both just too busy; it was the best APEX I
attended
in quite a long time. The classes and papers presented were great. I
took
up someone's suggestion to go to Dick's Last Resort. The last time I
went
there was 20 years to the day....and Dionne was working there then but
she
said it was called something else then. Dionne made sure we really had a

good time, in fact it was one of the best times I have had with a bunch
of
friends in a long while.
It's now Sunday night, I am here at the office digging out from all the
stuff that piled up in the last week.

But it sure was worth it.

Subject: [TN] NTC Friday Element Quiz - the Question

Hi folks - this Friday Element Quiz Question is being sent out from the
IPC APEX show. Great week, got to meet many of the Technet community but

keep missing Richard Stadem (sorry!). The answer to this quiz will go
out
Monday after I get back to the office.

The Question:

This element has 6 naturally occurring isotopes with one being slightly
radioactive. This element was found in a tomb in ancient Egypt at
Thebes.
It is impossible to know who discovered this element and there is
controversy on who first recognized it as an element. In the 1700s the
Spanish government tried to ban the use of this element. An anti-cancer
drug is based on this element. What element is being described?
