The leading profile datalogger companies sell pallets to run through the
oven. They have built in thermocouples and magnets used to sense conveyor
speed. Their software has basic SPC software included that collects data
for you, and an easy go/no-go display for the machine operator.
Run the pallet once a week, day or shift on the same program and you will
get measurements to confirm the oven remains stable.
This is a very capable method to catch bad heaters, fans, changes in
exhaust,,,

[TN] PWI for reflow
Sent by:

Hello,
Could you give me guideline on how to set-up PWI limits for SMT ?
I experienced a +10oC drift in max-temperature on a transformer between a
profile taken a year ago and recently. I am concerned about the
potential impact it has on the component (over-temperature).
My CM currently operates at 230-260C peak-temp range which seems broad;
how does this compares to industry best-practices ?
Thanks for the help.
Fabien
