Wee Mei -

By far the best source is Chapter 6 of "The HDI Handbook" by Happy Holden. This is a download-able book by registering at the following web site:

http://www.hdihandbook.com/download.php

Be warned - this is a 53 megabit volume, but everything you ever wanted to know about microvias is there, and I think just what you want - a pictoral step by step - is in Chapter 6. Happy Holden is the editor, and you will see he uses industry gurus well to put this together.

With high speed internet, I know of no better document.

Denny Fritz.

Subject: [TN] HDI Fabrication Step by Step

Dear TechNet,
Anyone has a link to demonstrate the step-by-step on how HDI board is
abricated. I need to understand as much as I can about HDI technology and
nspection criteria in the shortest possible time. It would be good if they are
ideo clips. Technical papers are welcome for my reference but not now as I do
ot have the time to read, understand and digest them.
Thanks and regards,
wee mei~
