This factory is not quite ship direct to floor.
Receiving labeled paste with SAP number along tube. Scanner could not read
label around tube.
Paste removed from refrigerator, verified lot in date, labeled with time
removed and expiration date for out of refrigerator, scanned into printer.
Multiple pastes used, scan part of poke yoke for printer.

The 2 times the paste was a problem, it was for entire lots.
Printing process went off the chart with the new lot and there was a large
scramble for correction.
An inspection process would have bought 24 hours to do something before the
paste hit the floor.
The problem shut us down for 8-24 hours going into a weekend.

For 6 years and up to 12 cases of solder paste a week, would the testing
have been less painfull than the scramble for the 2 lots? No worse than
dock to stock for other components.
