We're getting $6.50/lb right now from a local recycling company, and
I've had offers of over $7.00/lb to switch recyclers... But they're
located in other states, so the shipping weight is the killer there. I'm
talking about the old Sn63/Pb37 dross, not clean ingots. I would think
the ingots would be worth more?

Hi all,
I recently emptied a wave solder pot, and am waiting for a call back
from a local metal scrap yard for what they will give me for some clean
ingots of
63/37 solder.
Out of curiosity I started search the 'net for prices for recycled 63/37
solder, and you know what? It's pretty hard to find. I did call one
place because it listed on their web page that they recycled solder, but
to call and ask for the price. They told me that they would give me only
60 cents a pound. Does that sound right? I mean with the price of tin up
around $10.00 a pound that seemed pretty low to me.
What should I expect to get for recycled 63/37 solder?
