For enlightening me. And to think of it we in india are wanting more relaxed labor laws. if this is what it abodes- well i would not want it - even as an employer - 'tis inhuman.

On top of that it happens on Friday the 13th!
I once worked for a giant defense contractor who decided that Friday the 13th would be a good day to notify employees they were being laid off. One of the managers dressed in a hooded black robe and carried around a scythe, walked up behind employees to be notified, and tapped them on the shoulder and silently beckoned them into his office. He then gave them the bad news. One gal did not think it was funny, and promptly slapped them with a lawsuit. That manager was fired the following Friday. No week of severance for every year worked, no unemployment, no nothing.

I was just notified today that my last day is Friday.  I am a Electronics Manufacturing Engineer who has also done training (J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620 & IPC-7711/7721).  I have a CID and am a member of the Orange county chapter of the designers consile.
