Awesome!
Well, I'm happy to announce that the paperwork to get Clumpy cleared to
work on ITAR materials in Canada has finally arrived, we started it way
back in week 7 on his first visit. So Clumpy will be working in
receiving inspection, checking on some incoming materials to ensure we
don't have any counterfeit parts.
Kloumpios is unfortunately a different story, apparently there is no
checkbox on the ITAR form for "gnome from Cyprus", so we are still
working the paperwork. We'll fit a plow to his tractor and he can be on
snow flake watch in the parking lot.
They will be disappointed though, we have no snow and only the last two
days has it dipped below freezing overnight. Selling skis in this area
is an act of optimism!!!
regards,
- Graham

Subject: [TN] NTC Friday Element Quiz - the Answer
Hi folks - Here is the Friday Element Quiz Answer:
The Question:
The longest lived isotope of this element is 52 days. This element was
first discovered in California in 1955. What element is being described?
The Answer:
The element is Mendelevium (Md)! Mendelevium was discovered in 1955
using the Berkeley 60 inch cyclotron. A grand total of 17 atoms of Md
were produced by bombarding einsteinium-253 with helium ions. In later
experiments, thousands of Md atoms were produced allowing for an
estimation of Md's melting point - about 827C.
The winner of the weekly element quiz is Graham Collins, L3
Communications, and he will get the services of Clumpy and Kloumpios for
a week. The boys fired up the John Deere's and took off for Graham's
facility. They also put ski attachments on the tractors - they mumbled
