HI
Just about everyone does an RMA tacky flux.
To be classified RMA the flux has to have rosin as its major [resin]
ingredient. So if it is called RMA that must be the case. RMA doesn't mean
the tacky flux can't contain resin, in fact many do.
Just to clarify the semantics here. There are many types of resin both
natural and synthetic. Rosin is a natural resin derived from trees.
The terms resin and rosin are sometimes used interchangeably. Perhaps
because rosin was at one time the most common resin. Much as, though there
are many metal salts, we all know what we mean by "salt".
More precisely: The rosin we use is colophony or colophonium (those that
liked stickium would probably prefer this) from pine trees.

Regards

Mike

Subject: [TN] RMA rosin tacky flux

Hello Technetters, does anyone know a RMA rosin tacky flux? The question
seems simple however I've found only RMA resin tacky fluxes.

Thank you
