Hi Phil,

Gabriele recommendations are great. Search the Internet for these other documents I found very informative:

· "Thermal Cycle Reliability and failure Mechanisms of CCGA and PBGA Assys with and without Corner Staking" by Reza Ghaffarian

· "Vibration-Induced Solder Joint Failure of a Ceramic Column Grid Array (CCGA) Package" by Andy Perkins and Suresh K. Sitaraman

Last but not least, here is a NASA Standard developed by our center, GSFC-STD-6001 "Ceramic Column Grid Array Design and Manufacturing Rules for Flight Hardware":

http://standards.gsfc.nasa.gov/gsfc-std/gsfc-std-6001-20110222.pdf

Hope this helps!

Oggetto: [TN] CGAs

Who is already doing CGAs for Space applications. I know a few of you

have already been down this road.

My division is light years away from being able to implement such a process so the only choice is to go outside.

I am looking for suggestions, lessons learned, applicable white papers, people I can ask questions of, etc.

Thanks in advance,

Phil
