Dear Technos,
Got a quick question for you. I have a panel that is too flimsy in a particular place where I used routing. To make it more rigid I would like to replace the routing with V-groove, so the routing width will become a breakaway. Since I cannot go wider, the breakaway will need to be 0.100" wide. I always stood away from breakaways narrower than 0.200", so I wonder if any inconvenience could occur at 0.100". The singulation will be done on a depaneling machine, pizza cutter style.
Should I really worry about 0.100" wide breakaways? Are they wide enough not to hamper at the PCB manufacturing level? Would I have any issue at singulation? Any other worries?
Thanks,
Ioan Tempea, ing.
