An alternative is the spray fluxer from the machine manufacturer.
Depends how it makes the spray.

I have no preferance for either system.They were mounted in sperate box
outside the entrance to the wave solder machine.
Both machines have had a design revsion since my use.
Both are ultrasonic which are preferable to my manufacturers non ultrasonic
spray fluxer.
I use Wedotec ultrasonic drop jet fluxers for my selective solder machines
and prefer those to any other type.
It might be an alternative if selctive solder pallets are used. Cycle time
is too long without pallets.
