This element is essential for humans and a deficiency impacts all body
functions. This element has 3 naturally occurring isotopes. One of these
isotopes is radioactive with a half life of 1.3 billion years. Before
World War I, Germany had a monopoly of the production of this element. The
toxin of the black mamba snake interferes with this element's function in
the human brain. What element is being described?
