White is not green.  Sure it would be more pricey.  If you look at display color chart, depend upon the background, you might get imbalance of RGB.  As for thermal: if the white is TiO2 filler, sure it impact the thermal.  You pay for what you get: cheap, high performance, reliability, select two only.  Life is tough.
