And it does appear mostly at the stressed points of the shield.  There is also a good bit of it on the Zinc-galvanized hardware, and the galvanized and powder coated Chassis inside corners.  Plain steel hardware is rusted.

The chassis lid is sealed with a metal/foam gasket.  No corrosion at all there.  There is some rust where the gasket contacts the untreated steel lip of the chassis.

We're going to run temp/humidity testing on the board and shield by themselves, not in the assembly.
