Phil,

The answer is yes but have your company implemented this standard as a controlled document within QMS?

Personally, I would prefer to refer to 600H as there are wider acceptability criteria then in 610.

Remember, by referencing 600H, you should refer to IPC 6010 (as per product type) as both docs are correlated.

Subject: [TN] IPC-A-600 CERTIFICATION

This seemed like a no brainer to me but I am getting heavy resistance
when I recommend certification for those who inspect PWBs.

My question is do you have your personnel who are performing incoming
inspection on PWBs trained and certified to IPC-A-600?

We currently only train and certify to J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 and our
product is class 3.
