   I did not receive many responses to mu original inquiry, so I will post again.   I hope someone will contribute or lead to to some solid information/data/article regarding the process of ceramic thin Film process.   I will post a conceptual photo I what I am searching for with Steve.

Fellow TechNetters:

   Do anyone out there have experience/knowledge of the ceramic resistor process and parameter specification?  Is there a base material applied before thin film application?    Is there a method/technique for checking coating integrity.   Similar to, Chemical test for passivation pin hole on ICs.  Is there a spec for end cap/wrap around?  Etc....
