I have a technical op sheet that deals with E-beam irradiation for space product that will enter the atmosphere or land on a planet other than ours, or will re-enter our own atmosphere after having been elsewhere. In order to meet Planetary Protection standards we do the irradiation.
In the document, it describes collateral byproducts of the irradiation, all of which I understand except the term H2O+ . When I tried to look up H2O+ all I could find was beauty products. Does anybody know what H2O+ is, from a chemical standpoint?
