Good day Technet:
We're starting to dabble with press fit connectors, and a question came up regarding adding white wires for design changes.  Engineering said, "...well, you can just solder a wire to the tab of the connector lead that protrudes through the PWB"!  Is this an acceptable practice?  Would these modifications be flyable (defense avionics)?  What about the solder filling the hole, would that hinder the press-fit pin reliability?
