As an Altium user, I have seen (on the Altium forum) those who use CAMTASTIC for panelization; some users like to verify gerbers (look for errors).  I usually only look at camtastics when the vendor comes back and says "whats up?" with something (kinda rare, thankfully).  I think most Altium users are the same way (just to view the outputs, when necessary).

Yes as a viewer only (bundled with Altium/Protel)
Never used it for actual CAM output.
But to verify gerber output & to dxf out from the gerbers to generate documents.
Do you need more info on it as real CAM tool or just as a viewer?
I actually like it better as a viewer than CAM 350, Wise GerbTool or Lavenir ViewMate.
