Hi folks - Here is the Friday Element Quiz Question:

The Question:

This element has an isotope with a half life of 11 years that is given off 
by nuclear reactors and nuclear fuel reprocessing plants. It is used in 
certain high speed photographic flash lamps and strobe lights. Eight tons 
of this element are "extracted" from the planet each year. This element 
was associated with the metric system from 1960 to 1980. What element is 
being described?
