I never got to chat with Werner in person.  I did attend a conference.  Some discourse here.  But though I'm just one of many unnamed PCB Designers, Werner was gracious in sharing his knowledge and advice, even emailing me off list a few times, to help with my questions.  So it comes as no surprise to hear he was a Knight.  Quite a man.
