Power connectors allow electronic devices to connect to available power outlets. Power connectors can carry either Alternating Current (AC) or Direct Current (DC). An example of AC power would be power that be provided by a standard wall outlet in a home or office. An example of DC power could be power that is provided by a battery, cell, or other DC source or could be a regulated DC source derived from an AC source. There are several different types of connectors and power interfaces that can be used for both AC and DC.

Hi All,
Is there a defined difference between a 'power connector' and a 'DC jack"?
Werner
