Well,

If a web site is "All About" a making a happy marriage but they sell that
little pill with a name that starts with VIAG. do you really think it is an
information site or a pill selling site?

If I suggest that "Marriage Aids" site on this forum most folks would be
ticked.

The Solar World site is the "Soft" front end for a scam.

Click around. The want to sell you loans to buy solar systems.

Carl's post did not look like an advertisement for Solar World or
inappropriate to the list, just a link to a simple explanation on how solar
cells are made.

Maybe Solar World's product is not a good value compared to the competition,
but most denizens of technet would do some research before investing
thousands of dollars on a photovoltaic energy system and would not be
mislead by hype.

Hi,

That Solar-101 stuff looks like a scam. The system they are pushing is
kind of small, the price is high, the returns look inflated and all the
buyer is guaranteed to have is a 30 year long term loan. Then again there
are loads of suckers out there.

I really find this kind of post totally inappropriate for this forum.

Last Friday, I enjoyed a plant tour (with the OSU Solar Car team) at
SolarWorld. There was a lot of neat stuff going on at the plant, from the
growing and slicing of the Silicon, to the automated laminating of the
strings of cells. There are some pictures and general information about
panel assembly on their website at:

Subject: [TN] Solar panel assembly

Dear Technos,

Is anybody currently assembling solar panels? What would be the specifics of
the task? Anything particular, different from regular box build (electronics
assembly, cables plus mechanical)? Any particular knowledge or machinery to
acquire?

Thanks,
