Hi, Bill
The element missing is time, the time it would take to complete the test during which the flex needs to be heated. Td is not instantaneous, it requires at least some time at Tg before Tg--->Td begins.

Subject: [TN] Service Temperatures

Hello all -

I have a flex design that I need to raise the temperature on to successfully complete an electrical test. I am trying to determine what the maximum temperature I can safely raise this to without doing any harm to the flexes. I have copies of the appropriate slash sheets from 4204 and 4203 but I notice that the "Service Temperature" indicates that the "Data is being developed" (DBD). I am using 4101/24 and I notice that the Tg is 150 - 200 Deg C for it but I need the upper temperature limits for my other materials. If anyone can provide this information it would be sincerely appreciated. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

4203/1
4203/18
4204/11
