Chris - I agree with Mike
It would be incorrect to test lower materials to higher standards

Subject: [IPC-600-6012] mixed stack thermal shock temps

Chris,

I do not think we have this documented in 6012 but

The product is only as good as the weakest material. Based on that and
assuming the PTH goes through all three materials, it would revert to
the 40/85 cycles.

Subject: [IPC-600-6012] mixed stack thermal shock temps

Hi everyone,
We are testing product for a 6012 contract, but the product is mixed
Rogers/GF.
6012 Optional Thermal Shock is required, but no other advise is given.

So, in your opinion do we run it at:

-40/85 (GX/GY)
-55/125 (GF)
-65/105 (6018A) ?

I know, ask the end customer, but I'm wondering what the answer is from
a broader industry perspective.

Thanks,
Chris
