Technetters, A fellow engineer is working on behalf of an manufacturer who incorporates a touch screen, flat screen display (thin film transistors) in its product.

Some of these displays, too many from the manufacturer's perspective, are failing in operation. The display uses 3 printed circuit assemblies: a power supply, decoder of the information from the touch screen, and an interface to an external computer. No design information is available to the manufacturer.

Would anyone suggest a person or organization who could study these assemblies, in the absence of design information, and propose a failure mechanism(s)?

I have speculated that thermal imaging could help by comparing failed and surviving assemblies. Foresite's specialty may not pertain to what may be simple, low-speed assemblies, but I am prepared to learn otherwise.

Thanks for any advice or comments.
