Well now, obviously Clumpy has attained a level of fame unanticipated at
the time he was introduced. As his unofficial biographer, I suppose I
shall now have to do some history on Clumpy. Got a couple of plane
flights coming up. Stay tuned.

[TN] NTC - Clumpy's history in the TechNet

Here is when we first found out who Clumpy was:

Amen to that Steve. Would have been much happier being ignorant on that
one.

I don't know that we can use Clumpy either. While it is not common
knowledge, Clumpy was actually the 8th Dwarf for Walt Disney, but the cost

accounting people got into control for a brief period of time and Clumpy
ended up on the cutting room floor, making for only 7 Dwarves.

And no, I have not had my Diet Dew yet this morning. Going off to remedy
that now.......

Like Guy, I had to look it up since Graham pointed it out, and I didn't
think it was a real word.

I should have never looked it up. I could have gone all day without
Knowing what that meant.

Ahem. Please do NOT use the term "Blumpy" - it has a meaning in the slang
dictionary that you REALLY don't want to know!

Having taken a look at Chris's photo, I think the correct term might be
"Clumpy - having or showing a tendency to form clumps"

Clump = as a noun: a compacted mass or lump of.... as a verb: to form into
a
mass or clump

Then Dave started farming Clumpy out to the winners of his Friday Element
Quiz on Friday the 13th no less!

Subject: [TN] NTC Friday Element Quiz The Question

Hi folks - Ok, here is the Friday Element Quiz:

The Question:

This element has been used as a constituent of eye makeup since antiquity.

This element was often referred to as a variety of lead (Pb) and was not
considered a separate element until the 16th century. As a pure metal,
this element has no structural uses but is widely utilized as a
strengthening addition in other alloys. This element, in its high purity
state, is used in the manufacture of III-V semiconducting compounds. China

is the dominant world supplier of this element and world production was
141,000 tons in 2002. What element am I?

This week's prize for correctly identifying the quiz answer will be to put

Clumpy, the 8th dwarf (Doug identified him this week during the TechNet
discussions) to work for you with the caveat that you will be required to
tells us what task Clumpy accomplished for you. Sorry, we seemed to have
run out of furniture to give away.

Good Luck.

Hi Drew!

Clumpy did indeed arrive! Clumpy needs a little more sun though, he's kind
of pale. It appears that he was also greeted at his arrival by a few
friends:

Hi,

Just a heads up to all who need a laugh. Clumpy did choose the garden
tractor as it was suspected. He arrived this morning.

Now to put him to work on the solderability tester.

Sent Steve a picture of his arrival here but don't know if he will have
time
to post it.

I have to get back to the sectioning room and start on a potted sample.
Good morning everyone.

Drew

Then Clumpy got his mower modified by some fellow TechNetters:

Clumpy is going to be there with his John Deere.

But when you said you have some serious mowing to do, Dave, Dewey, and Bev
told Clumpy that he better let them do some modifying on his mower so he
would be able to handle your Bigfork Ranch.

Radium. Be sure Clumpy drives the John Deere here, as I have some serious
mowing to do on Stadem's Bigfork Ranch!

Then Clumpy was delivered across the Atlantic by Graham Collins:

LMAO! That was great Graham!

Here's Clumpy loaded up on your boat:

Too bad you didn't get him loaded a little earlier, you could have caught
Earl and got some help with his winds on the way over...hehehe.

OK, OK... I'm delivering Clumpy by boat.

We didn't have a video camera on hand to capture the loading procedure,
but it went something like this:

I'll send Steve a pic of the end result...

Hi! Somehow, I think that freezing the northern portion of the Atlantic
ocean solid so that Clumpy can amble over to Ian's facility is going to
make some folks upset. Perhaps we need to give Clumpy a survival suit, a

case of Twinkees, a couple gallons of coffee and a jet ski as an
alternative mode of transportation.

Then Clumpy came back to the states, got farmed out to a few more
TechNetters, then went back overseas to Germany where is made the
headlines:

airport!

Outstanding! I don't know just how much statistical training Clumpy has in

his resume but he has been shown to be quite adaptable for a wide range of

Technet tasks last year. Clumpy was able to obtain a ride across the
Atlantic on Saturday in the cargo hold of a A380 flight so he should show
up at your doorstep this morning.

Hey Doug - just how much statistical analysis training has Clumpy
completed? Heck, did Clumpy ever go to university? We could use a bit of
Clumpy's history after Disney dumped him.

[TN] AW: [TN] NTC Friday Element Quiz - the Answer

Hi Dave,
can you tell when Clumpy will arrive here in Germany? I need him quite
urgently to work on an experiment to determine the right parameter
settings of a plasma gun. We are going to use a plasma pre treatment to
activate the surface of a plastic connector before we dispense a
thixotropic adhesive into the sealing groove and Clumpy has to perform the

planned Taguchi DOE to set up a robust process ... :-)))

Cheers,
Gebhard

The last photo we got of Clumpy was when he was working for Gebhard:

Steve,

Clumpy is really a devil of a fellow, after he was chasing for snow white
in
the seven mountains all night he is currently defining the phrase "walk
the
process" totally new as he is riding it, but have a look on your own!!!
