Hmm. May be a senior moment, but seems I recall a Clumpy-in-his-youth, or maybe Clumpy's Mom/Dad being previously honored by IPC.
A fading memory tells me it was a video performance at the IPC 50Th anniversary bash (wasn't that our ill-fated year at the Los Angeles Convention Center?). Seems that the pre-Clumpy travelled extensively to IPC members all over the US, and possibly internationally, to have his picture taken making circuit boards. Perhaps this pre-Clumpy was a marriage of Tim Estes of Conductor Analysis Technologies, and the Travelocity spokesperson. Jack Crawford or John Perry may hold the key to the IPC sacred video vault - for a search.
Anyone else out there remember pre-Clumpy?

Hi Techies
As those of you who attend either the APEX or MidWest meetings will be aware,
PC likes to honour those who have made significant contributions to the group.
I am sure that I speak on behalf of all of us, when I say that there should be a
pecial award presented to Clumpy at the forthcoming APEX event in Las Vegas.
I hereby propose Clumpy and hope that enough of you will second this nomination.
I am naturally confident that this motion will be carried and it therefore only
eaves the question of the form his award will take? I therefore suggest that
he group responsible for Clumpy's involvements:
essrs Mahanna, Hillman, Pauls, Whittaker and myself, shall encourage all
echnetter's to send us their suggestions. We will then select the most popular
uggestion and make arrangements for it delivery at APEX.
As I am aware of the APEX agenda being somewhat full, might it be appropriate to
ake the award immediately following the KeyNote address, or does everyone feel
his should best be done during the formal awards luncheons? It seems to me that
teve Wozniak is the sort of chap who would rise to the occasion.
I have tried to ensure that Clumpy has been omitted from the recipients list of
his message, so as not to embarrass him and whilst he sleeps-off the excesses
f his time with Steve Creswick.
