Hmm, interesting genealogy. If Clumpy's ancestors were deported to Acadia
it's possible some joined the migration to New Orleans. So there might be
some Cajun Clumpy Cousins?

Regards

Mike

Your book made my point, especially if it came from a library, but
that's another story.
They were always getting in Dutch and when asked about their origins
they always responded by saying they came from the nether lands. So they
were rounded up and deported to Acadia. The rest they say is History or
a fractured fairy tale at least.

??

Dewey,
When in the world have I claimed that Clumpy was a Canuck? According to
a thick coffee table book I got for Christmas about 20 years ago, I was
under the impression that gnomes were Dutch or at least western
European, being related to leprechauns, elves, fairies, wood sprits and
such.

When the gender-specific question arose about Clumpy, I successfully
restrained myself from answering.
Bev from RIM (real & imaginary men) has established he (Clumpy) is a
natural born Canadian citizen, so that's settled.
Now Bev wants to embarrass me by proposing a small private celebration
ceremony for Clumpy. I would recognize Bev and Dave due to their
conservative business attire. Due to their unique sartorial splendor, I
don't know if I could differentiate between Graham, Doug or Clumpy,
especially since any one of the three could be wearing the tire.

Graham and other Technetters,
I really think the award presentation would be more appropriate at one
of our beer and movie evening events. Remember, like all gnomes, Clumpy
is SHY!

Hi Techies

As those of you who attend either the APEX or MidWest meetings will be
aware, IPC likes to honour those who have made significant contributions
to the group.

I am sure that I speak on behalf of all of us, when I say that there
should be a special award presented to Clumpy at the forthcoming APEX
event in Las Vegas.

I hereby propose Clumpy and hope that enough of you will second this
nomination.

I am naturally confident that this motion will be carried and it
therefore only leaves the question of the form his award will take? I
therefore suggest that the group responsible for Clumpy's involvements:
Messrs Mahanna, Hillman, Pauls, Whittaker and myself, shall encourage
all Technetter's to send us their suggestions. We will then select the
most popular suggestion and make arrangements for it delivery at APEX.

As I am aware of the APEX agenda being somewhat full, might it be
appropriate to make the award immediately following the KeyNote address,
or does everyone feel this should best be done during the formal awards
luncheons? It seems to me that Steve Wozniak is the sort of chap who
would rise to the occasion.

I have tried to ensure that Clumpy has been omitted from the recipients
list of this message, so as not to embarrass him and whilst he
sleeps-off the excesses of his time with Steve Creswick.

Regards as always,

Graham Naisbitt - KBO
