Jim,
Depends on what you mean by best and by plastic. It is more a question of
what is your end use environment, how hermetic is your enclosure, what is
the design life of your product, and what are the consequences of failure.
There are a wide range of acrylic coatings, or modified acrylic coatings,
to choose from. Not all are equal.

[TN] Conformal Coating Plastic Parts
Good Day all,
It seems lately that more of our designs (defense, aerospace) are using
military qualified plastic parts, mainly because of availability. I
recently heard that acrylic conformal coating isn't the best coating of
choice when applied to plastic parts. I was wondering what the Forum
thinks regarding this matter.
