I decided that I did not want to be a member of Linkedin and just didn't
do anything. Then they discontinued my account but I continued to get
lots of invites, spam. I found that it was impossible to turn off invite
requests without rejoining. I think I had to use extraordinary methods
to find a name I could email without rejoining (I may have found an
email address in the source code for their web page?). The web man I
emailed was kind enough to arrange for my name to be added to a list of
those not to be spammed. I did also point out to this chap how difficult
it was to communicate with Linkedin.

So if you decide you have had enough and that this forum is sufficient
to meet the best brains then be careful how you exit Linkedin or you
will still continue to get the spam.

:-)

Regards
Rex

Subject: [TN] NTC - invitations from LinkedIn

I don't know a smarter group of people to ask this question, so:

Is there any reason not to just blindly accept invitations from LinkedIn
people?
I used to only accept people I know, but lately I've been getting a
bazillion "invitations".
It would be easier to just accept, accept, accept...
.... but should I?

(If I DON'T accept them, it keeps "reminding" me, which is getting
annoying)

Jack
